Did You Know: Higher Gas Prices and Motorcycle Accidents

According to the American Journal of Public Health, for each dollar increase in gas there is an estimated 1,500 more motorcycle deaths. How? It’s pretty simple, really. People tend to rely on other means of transportation, such as motorcycles or scooters, in order to be more fuel efficient. Unfortunately, motorcycles are much more dangerous than 4-wheeled vehicles. When there is an increase in the number of motorcycle riders, there is an increase in the number of motorcycle fatalities.

Wear a helmet, people. Even if your state doesn’t mandate it.
